How to Automatically Empty the Recycle Bin on Windows 10

In this tutorial, we are going to see how to automatically empty the Recycle Bin on Windows 10. In Windows 10, it is quite easy to automatically empty the recycle bin by using the Storage Sense feature. If you don’t know, Storage Sense allows you to automatically delete all temporary files to free up space. Follow the steps below to use Storage Sense to empty the recycle bin.
 

 

How to Automatically Empty the Recycle Bin on Windows 10

Step 1: Click on the Start button at the bottom left of your screen.
 


 
Step 2: Click on Settings.
 

 
Step 3: Then go to System.
 

 
 
Step 4: Once in the system settings, click on Storage in the left pane, then turn on the switch under Storage.
 

 
Step 5: Then click on the Configure Storage Sense or run it now link that appears just below the switch.
 

 
 
Step 6: Here, make sure that the Delete temporary files that my apps aren’t using box is checked. Then select 30 days in the drop-down menu under Delete files in my recycle bin if they have been there for over.
