How to Create a Homegroup Network in Windows 10

In this tutorial, we are going to see how to create a Homegroup Network in Windows 10. If you want to share folders and files between several Windows computers, they must first be connected to the same network. Then you need to create what Microsoft calls a homegroup. But before we see how to create a homegroup on your Windows PC, We’d like to go into a little more detail about what this feature is for. Let’s get started!

What is a Homegroup?

A HomeGroup facilitates sharing between multiple Windows computers. By default, all computers in a HomeGroup share their Image, Music, and Video libraries as well as the printer and some other devices. Of course, all this is fully customizable. You can share what you want and with whom you want.

Note that a HomeGroup can only work with computers running Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1, or Windows 7. If at home or in the office, you have computers running another operating system (OS X, Linux, or others), you will have to use another method than the HomeGroup.
