In this tutorial, we are going to see where is the location of the startup folder in Windows 10?

The Startup folder in Windows contains a list of shortcuts to those applications that start when your Windows starts. Previously, you could easily access the Start folder in Windows 7 from Start Menu > Startup. But where is the Startup folder in Windows 10?
 

Where is the Location of Startup Folder in Windows 10?

The startup folder for the current users in Windows 10 is located at:

C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

These programs start for the currently logged-in user only. To access this folder directly, Right-click on the Start button, select Run.
 

 

 
In the input field, type shell:startup, then press Enter or click OK to confirm.
 

 
The Startup folder opens. Don’t be surprised if it is empty the first time you open it, it is normal.
 

 
 
 

Windows 10 Startup Folder Location For All Users

The All Users Windows 10 startup folder can be found at the following address:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

These programs start for all users. To open this folder, open the Run box, type shell:common startup and press Enter. Or to open the folder quickly, you can press the start button, type shell:common startup and press Enter.
 

 
You can add shortcuts of programs you want to start with Windows in this folder.

Also, You can use msconfig in Windows 7 or Task Manager in Windows 10 to manage startup programs. You can also delay startup programs or control the order in which they load, when Windows starts.
