If you want to prevent your screen from turning off, you can set the power options to “Never” to stop your computer screen from turning off. You can change this setting using the Settings application, Control Panel, and PowerShell.
 

 

Method 1: How to Stop the Screen From Turning Off on Windows 10 Using Settings

Step 1: Click on the Start button at the bottom left of your screen.
 


 
Step 2: Click on Settings.
 

 
Step 3: Click on System.
 

 
 
Step 4: Select Power & Sleep from the left navigation panel.
 

 
Step 5: Expand the Sleep time list under (On battery power and When plugged in) and select the option Never.
 

 

Method 2: How to Stop the Screen From Turning Off on Windows 10 Using Control Panel

Step 1: Click on the Start menu and type Control Panel.
 

 

 
Step 2: Then click on Hardware and Sound.
 

 
Step 3: Next, click on Power Options.
 

 
Step 4: In the Power Options window click on Choose when to turn off the display
 

 
Step 5: In the drop-down menu next to Turn off screen, select Never. If you are on a laptop, you can also select Never under the On battery option.
 

 
Once the steps are complete, Windows 10 will never again automatically turn off your screen to save power.
 
 

Method 3: How to Stop the Screen From Turning Off on Windows 10 Using PowerShell

Step 1: Press Windows + X button and select Windows PowerShell (Admin). This is the fastest way to open the PowerShell as an administrator.
 


 
Step 2: Type the following command to set the timeout setting to Never and press Enter.

powercfg -change -monitor-timeout-ac 0

Also type the following command to set the same On battery setting (for laptops).

powercfg -change -monitor-timeout-dc 0


 
Once the steps are complete, Windows 10 will never again automatically turn off your screen to save power.
