Method 1: How to Disable Task Manager on Windows 10 using Group Policy

Step 1: Right-click on the Start button, select Run.
 

 
Step 2: Type gpedit.msc and press Enter to open the Local Group Policy Editor.
 

 
Step 3: After that, navigate to the following path:

User configuration -> Administrative templates -> Ctrl + Alt + Del

Find and double-click the Remove Task Manager policy.
 

 

 
Step 4: The above action will open the Policy Properties window. Here, select Enabled and click the Apply and Agree buttons to save the changes.
 

 
Step 5: Restart Windows to apply the changes.

Method 2: How to Disable Task Manager on Windows 10 using Registry Editor

Step 1: To disable Task Manager on Windows 10. Right-click on the Start button, select Run.
 

 
Step 2: Type regedit and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.
 

 
Step 3: After that, navigate to the following Registry key:

Step 4: In the right pane, right-click on an empty space and select New -> DWORD (32 bits) value option.
 

 
Step 5: Name it DisableTaskMgr.
 

 
 
Step 6: Double-click on the DisableTaskMgr value. Enter “1” in the value data field and click OK. button.
 

 
Step 7: Restart Windows to apply the changes.

After the restart, you can no longer access the Task Manager because it is disabled. If you try to open the Task Manager, you will get an error message like the following.
