Why the start menu is slow to open in Windows 10? Well, this is simply due to its animation. Indeed, you may have noticed that each time you open the Start menu, it shows a small animation that is activated by default. Step 1: Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog box.

Step 2: Then type Sysdm.cpl and press the Enter key on your keyboard to access the System Properties.
 

 

 
Step 3: At the top of the window click on the Advanced tab. Then click on the Settings button under Performance as below.
 

 
Step 4: In the Visual Effects tab, uncheck the option labeled Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing and click the Apply button.
