How To Open File Explorer To “This PC”

In this tutorial, we are going to see how to open file explorer to “This PC”. Windows File Explorer provides quick and easy access to your folders and documents. By default, when you open Windows 10 File Explorer (by using the shortcut Windows key + E), a list of recently opened folders and files is displayed. However, if you prefer to see all the user folders and network locations that are in “This PC”, it is possible. Here is how to do it.
 

 

How To Open File Explorer To “This PC”

This tutorial allows you to automatically open the File Explorer on This PC instead of Quick Access.

Step 1: Open File Explorer.
 

 
Step 2: Once open, click on the File menu (top left), then Change Folder and Search Options.
 

 

 
Step 3: A Folder Options window will open. Next to “Open File Explorer in”, select This PC from the drop-down menu.
 

 
That’s it! Now, when you open File Explorer, you’ll have direct access to your entire PC.
