Step 1: Press Windows + X button and select Windows PowerShell (Admin). This is the fastest way to open the command prompt as an administrator.
 

 
Step 2: Type the following command: powercfg /batteryreport
 

 
This command will create a battery report in C:\WINDOWS\system32\battery-report.html or, in earlier versions of Windows, the report will be in C:\Users\[User Name].
 
 
Step 3: Open the HTML file to see the battery report.

The report will provide you with more information about the batteries in your system, as well as their usage over time.
