Virtual memory, also called swap file, is a system file that is mainly used to expand system memory, store rarely accessed pages or files, and even dump crash logs and other information. There is no set size for the virtual memory file. Windows automatically decides the size of the swap file based on factors such as the amount of RAM in your system and the size of the hard disk.

To check the size of your current virtual memory, open the computer Settings application, go to System, in the left pane click on Storage and click on the System and Reserved option. You will see the size of the swap file under Virtual Memory.
