How to Delay Startup Programs in Windows 10/8/7

In this tutorial, we are going to see how to delay startup programs in Windows 10/8/7. Almost every application you install in Windows is added at startup. The more startup programs there are, the longer Windows will take to start up. If you want, you can delay startup programs using the built-in tool called Task Scheduler. Let us show you how.
 

How to Delay Startup Programs in Windows

 
Step 1: Click on start button and type Task Scheduler.
 

 

 
Step 2: Click on Task Scheduler Library
 

 
Step 3: Click on Create Task on the right drop-down list:
 

 
Step 4: Type a name, Choose Run with highest privileges, Choose Configure for: Windows 10, Then click on OK.
 

 
 
Step 5: Click on Triggers tab and click on New… button
 

 
Step 6: Select At log on from the first drop-down menu. Next, check the box Delay task for and select 15 minutes in the drop-down menu next to it. Click the OK button. This will ensure that the task will not be triggered until 15 minutes after you log in. You can select the duration of your choice from the drop-down menu.
 

 
Step 7: Click on the Actions tab and then click on New… button.
 

 
 
Step 8: Select Start a program from the first drop-down menu. Then click on Browse…
 

 
Step 9: Find the application you want to start, select it and click the Open button.
 

 
Step 10: You will see the file path added in the Program/Script field. Click on the OK button to save the changes.
 

 
 
Step 11: Finally, click on the OK button in the main window to save the task.
 

 
Step 12: Just to make sure the task runs and opens the application, right click on the task you just created and select the Run option. It should start the application immediately.
 

 
Now the task will be scheduled.
