In this tutorial, we are going to see how to increase processor speed in Windows 10. For power-hungry applications, Windows 10 has an option to maximize your processor. It’s not the ideal way to run your computer (it produces extra heat), but it should cover your needs during brief periods of heavy use.

Step 1: In the search box, type Control Panel and then press it to open it.
 

 
Step 2: Click on Hardware and Sound.
 

 
Step 3: Next click on Power Options.
 

 
 
Step 4: Click on the Change plan settings link, as shown in the following image:
 

 
Step 5: Now click on the Change advanced power settings link.
 

 
Step 6: As soon as you click it, the Power Options window will appear on your screen, as shown in the image below:
 

 
 
Step 7: Now click on the Processor Power Management tab to expand it as shown in the image above.

Click on the Minimum processor status tab, as shown in the next image:
 

 
Select 100% for the On battery and Plugged in fields.

Finally, click the Apply button and then the OK button to save your settings. Now you have increased the processor speed on your computer.
