How to Change Desktop Icons in Windows 10

In this tutorial, we are going to see how to change desktop icons in Windows 10. As in the previous versions of Windows, it is possible with Windows 10 to choose the icons that should be displayed on the Windows 10 desktop.

It is thus possible to show or hide the computer icon, the icon of the Recycle Bin, the one giving access to the Control Panel, the Network icon, the User Files icon.
 

 

How to Change Desktop Icons in Windows 10

Step 1: Right-click on the desktop, click on Personalize. This will open the Personalization section of the application settings.
 

 
Step 2: In the left pane, click on Themes. Under Related Settings, click on Desktop Icon Settings.
 

 

 
Step 3: Now you can change the icon by selecting the desired program and pressing the Change icon button.
 

 
Step 4: You can choose between the default Windows icons or by selecting the desired ico file image.
 

 
Step 5: Confirm the changes by clicking the OK button.

The selected icons are then displayed on the computer’s desktop.
