How to Enable the On-Screen Keyboard in Windows 10

In this tutorial, we are going to see how to enable the On-Screen keyboard in Windows 10. Microsoft has removed the “Show touch keyboard button” option in Windows settings.

If you want to see the On-Screen keyboard in Windows, follow these steps:

Step 1: Right-click on the Start button, select Run.
 

 

 
Step 2: Type regedit and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.
 

 
Step 3: After that, navigate to the following Registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\TabletTip\1.7


 
Step 4: Create a DWORD value and name it DisableNewKeyboardExperience. You can create a DWORD value by right-clicking in the right pane and selecting New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.
 

 

 
Step 5: Click twice to open the file DisableNewKeyboardExperience.
 

 
Step 6: Set the value to 1 and click OK.
 

 
Step 7: Right-click on the taskbar and select Show touch keyboard button.
 

 
 
Step 8: Now click on the keyboard icon in the taskbar.
 

 
Step 9: Now you have access to the visual keyboard.
