How to Show All Drives in Windows 10 File Explorer

In this tutorial, we are going to see how to show all drives in Windows 10 File Explorer. Probably not to confuse users new to the operating system, not all storage devices are displayed by the Windows 10 File Explorer. They are quickly accessed by double-clicking the This-PC icon on the computer desktop or by launching File Explorer from the Start menu.

Only drives that actually contain data are displayed: hard disks, USB keys, memory cards … the others, those that are empty are hidden by the File Explorer, which can be confusing for some.

How to Show All Drives in Windows 10 File Explorer

Step 1: Open File Explorer.
 

 
Step 2: Once open, click on the File menu (top left), then Change Folder and Search Options.
 

 

 
Step 3: In the Folder Options window, click on the View tab. Then Scroll down to the option Hide empty drives and uncheck the box which is enabled by default.
 

 
Step 4: Validate the modification by clicking on the Apply and OK buttons.

Empty storage devices are now displayed by File Explorer.
