How to Speed Up File Transfer in Windows 10

In this tutorial, we are going to see how to speed up File Transfer in Windows 10. If your computer has been running Windows 10 since an earlier version (especially since Windows XP), perhaps the data exchange algorithms on the Web are not configured for broadband connections (ADSL and cable).

How to Speed Up File Transfer in Windows 10

Step 1: To check this, type PowerShell in the Windows search bar. Then right-click on Windows PowerShell and Run as administrator.

Step 2: Enter the following command and confirm with Enter:

(Get-NetTransportFilter | Where DestinationPrefix -eq '*' | Get-NetTCPSetting).CongestionProvide

If the window displays CTCP in response, it simply means that the new algorithms are activated.

However, if this is not the case, I invite you to enter the following command, then validate with Enter:

Set-NetTCPSetting -SettingName InternetCustom -CongestionProvider CTCP

All you have to do is restart your computer and you’re done.
