How to Disable the Lock Screen in Windows 10

In this tutorial, we are going to see how to disable the lock screen in Windows 10. Windows lock screen is a useless decoration that makes you click or swipe once more every time your computer starts up or goes to sleep. To unlock your computer, you have to close the lock screen, but you still have to enter your password or PIN on the login screen. Why not go directly to the login screen?

Step 1: Open the registry editor. You can do this by typing regedit in the search box.
 


 
Step 2: Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows.
 

 
Step 3: Create a registry key called “Custom” if it does not already exist. You can create a new key by right-clicking and selecting “Key”.

As you can see the “Custom” key was created.
 

 
Step 4: Next Create a new “DWORD” value (it depends if you have 32 or 64 bits) in “Custom” key and name it “NoLockScreen”.
 

 
As you can see the “NoLockScreen” dword was created.
 

 
Step 5: Set “NoLockScreen” to 1. You set the value by double-clicking on “NoLockScreen”, typing 1 and clicking “OK”.
 

 
Now check if the Lock Screen is disabled.
